Hello Hampton residents!
I am thrilled to introduce myself, Ken Sheffert, as a candidate for Hampton NH state representative. With over 50 years of residency in Hampton, I have deep roots in this community and a genuine passion for serving its residents.
As a small business owner, I have successfully operated a landscaping business for over 30 years. This experience has taught me the importance of hard work, dedication, and serving others. In addition, I am proud to be a Realtor with Keller Williams in Portsmouth, NH, where I have had the privilege of helping individuals and families find their dream homes.
Having served in the US Army and NH National Guard, I bring a strong sense of duty and commitment to public service. In my military career, I was involved in the development of remote telephone and computer data systems, which laid the foundation for the technology we use today, such as cell phones and email.
Advocacy is another aspect of my life that I hold dear. Previously, I advocated for the veteran property tax credit by providing the necessary documentation to the committee. I firmly believe in fighting for the rights and benefits our veterans deserve.
Currently, I serve as a member of the Hampton zoning board, where I have gained valuable insight into the local community’s needs and concerns. This experience has further fueled my desire to make a positive impact as your state representative.
From 2007 to 2024, I worked tirelessly at Community Home Solutions, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting foreclosures and assisting seniors with reverse mortgages. This role allowed me to witness firsthand the challenges faced by our community members and reinforced my dedication to finding solutions.
In 2011, I had the honor of serving as the Hampton State Representative on the Environment and Agriculture committee. This experience provided me with valuable knowledge and a deeper understanding of the critical issues affecting our environment and agricultural practices.
As your state representative, I will be a strong advocate for our community’s interests. I am committed to promoting sustainable and responsible development, supporting local businesses, protecting our environment, and ensuring our veterans receive the respect and benefits they deserve.
I believe that with my extensive experience and passion for serving Hampton, I am the best choice for state representative. Together, we can build a brighter future for our community. I kindly ask for your support and your vote.
